Description:
The Hall Effect Sensor Module is designed to detect the proximity of a magnet and is compact in size. When the magnetic field exceeds a specified threshold, the open-collector output transistor activates, pulling the logic-compatible output low and illuminating the onboard LED indicator.
This sensor is fast and operates within a turn-on threshold of 35–450 Gauss, with a minimum hysteresis of 20 Gauss. It functions within a voltage range of 4.5 to 24 volts and uses the Allegro Microsystems A3144EUA sensor. The module features a 3-pin interface: signal, V+, and GND.
To use the sensor, connect a 10K pull-up resistor between the “S” pin and the V+ pin, and attach the GND pin to ground. When a magnet is brought close, the “S” pin will go low (pulled to ground), turning on the onboard LED indicator.
